Whilst both of
our offered ranges are marketed as light weight, in comparison
to previously available systems,
Guardian provides products capable of either being mechanically
fixed, or adhesive fixed, dependant on the
customer’s preferred method. Whilst both systems provide a
standard range of profiles, any desired profile can be accommodated by either manufacturer given a small lead-time to
produce.
Nuplex Architectural Profiles
Nuplex architectural profiles are manufactured
from high density expanded polystyrene. Nuplex use a
proprietary resin coating system to produce a coating which is
breathable, and prevents the build up of vapour pressure
at the interface of the coating and the substrate. Processed
silica sands are used with the coating system to
provide a high degree of protection from accidental mechanical
damage, and as a durable substrate for the final paint finish.
Profiles are guaranteed for 10 years against any material defect
in manufacture.

Multitex External Mouldings
Guardian’s alternative mouldings and profile provider is
from Multitex.
Multitex External Mouldings are manufactured in two forms and
light weight (Solid light weight and foam filled). The Multitex
system allows for mouldings to be either mechanical fixed, or
on smaller profiles, adhesive fixed
following installation recommendations. The composition of this
range is a lightweight concrete, being either in a solid profile,
or a thickened perimeter fully encapsulating the full profile
in the case of the larger mouldings.
Owing to their southern point of manufacture, slightly more lead
time will be required to have this range of product
on your job. However, if you seek the assurances of tried and
tested mechanically fixed mouldings of outstanding
quality, then the Multitex system is seriously difficult to surpass,
and the slightly more pre-planning required will be
rewarded.
